Jen Bird

Jen Bird - Singer, Songwriter

A former theatre actress, Jen played lead roles in Jesus Christ Superstar, Godspell and The King & I, before being happily bitten by the song-writing bug!  She began working with producer Ivan Anchant and never looked back...

Jen's debut album 'Let Life In' picked picked up radio play in both the UK and USA, and she has featured on shows such as BBC Introducing Berkshire and the Rhythm & Roots Show on Castle Radio.

A passionate advocate for mental health awareness, Jen went on to release the charity single ('Shout at the Dark') to raise funds for SANE UK.  She also co-hosted a podcast by the same name with DJ Dave Mann.

Last year Jen and Simon Driscoll (of the band Burnt Tomorrow) teamed up to form the acoustic folk-duo, Tomorrow Bird.  Following the release of their debut single, Jen and Simon were delighted to receive the 2017 GSMC Music Award for Best Duo.

That same year, following a world-wide search, Jen was hand-picked by famed composer Yasunori Mitsuda to be the lead singer on Nintendo's Xenoblade Chronicles 2.  The much anticipated game launched the same day as Jen's latest album ('If Walls Could Sing') and has since gone onto sell over a million copies worldwide.

Not one to turn her back on her theatre roots, Jen has also co-written and produced three musicals with her Tomorrow Bird bandmate, Simon Driscoll, in association with 5by5 Music and the children's charity Spotlight UK.  Earlier this year she also appeared in the 'Hear my Voice' production of 'Bare' - to raise funds for mental health charities, Mind and Beat.

*LATEST*  Jen and Simon's original musical 'The Box' will be performed at Her Majesty"s Theatre in the West End on 3rd March 2019.
